Discovering my love for web development in college, I made the transition from journalist to full time coder in 2012. As you can see by my resumé, I've worked with startups, large corporations, and multiple public contracts since then.

Projects

Town Budget Tracker

Interactive town budget web application that makes inaccessible PDF budgets more readable and improve visualization with interactive charts in order to facilitate improved city budget knowledge among citizens. Built in D3 and the data pull from image based PDFs with Anthropic's Claude AI.

Coding Function Exerciser

I noticed a gap in most online coding exercises. Too easy and people stagnate without progress. Too hard and learning gets stalled. There needs to be low stakes repetition, much like elementary school math drills. Repetition of progressively harder problems builds muscle memory that struggling through toughest problems won't.
